622 Beneficiaries Receive Start-Up Kits Under GEA–Mastercard Foundation BizBox Programme in Tano North A total of 622 beneficiaries in the Tano North Municipality have received professional start-up kits under the BizBox Graduation and Start-Up Kit Distribution Programme, implemented through the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA) in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation. The graduation ceremony brought together beneficiaries who successfully completed skills training in various vocational and technical trades, including Auto Electrical, Livestock Farming, Cereals Processing, Auto Mechanics, Plumbing, Barbering, Masonry, Carpentry, as well as entrepreneurship support for Persons with Disabilities. Addressing the graduates, the Municipal Chief Executive for Tano North, Hon. Pius Opoku, encouraged them to make productive use of the tools they had received to establish sustainable businesses, create employment opportunities, and contribute to the economic development of the Municipality. He urged the beneficiaries to uphold integrity, hard work, and discipline as they embark on their entrepreneurial journeys, describing the start-up kits as valuable capital for building successful enterprises. Hon. Pius Opoku further assured the graduates that the Tano North Municipal Assembly, through its Business Resource Centre, would continue to provide business advisory services, mentorship, and market linkages to help them grow their businesses and achieve long-term success. The MCE expressed appreciation to the Government of Ghana, the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA), the Mastercard Foundation, traditional authorities, and all stakeholders whose support made the programme possible. The BizBox initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to promote youth employment, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment by equipping beneficiaries with practical skills and the resources needed to start their own businesses.
