MCE Calls on Tanoso Residents to Participate in Mass Sanitation Exercise on August 8 The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Tano North, Hon. Pius Opoku, has appealed to Residents, Traditional leaders, Business owners, Youth Groups, Religious organisations, and all stakeholders in Tanoso and its surrounding Communities to actively participate in a Mass Sanitation Exercise scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2026. The Exercise, which forms part of the Tano North Municipal Assembly's Commitment to promoting Environmental cleanliness and public Health, will commence at 6:00 a.m. at Kasadjan, Tanoso. According to the MCE, the sanitation Exercise will be carried out in collaboration with the Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. (Mrs.) Charity Gardiner, the Tanoso Manhene, Nana Kyei Baffour Akomea, Traditional Authorities, Assembly Members, Youth Groups, Religious Bodies and other Community stakeholders. Hon. Pius Opoku urged residents to come along with cleaning tools such as Brooms, Cutlasses, shovels, Rakes and gloves to support efforts to desilt drains, clear refuse and improve the general cleanliness of the community. He also appealed to all Business owners and operators within Tanoso to suspend Business activities during the Exercise and reopen after 12:00 noon to allow for full participation. The MCE emphasised that maintaining a clean Environment is a shared responsibility, noting that proper sanitation helps prevent disease outbreaks, attracts investment and enhances the image of the Municipality. He expressed confidence that with the support of the people, the Exercise would be a success and further strengthen efforts to make Tanoso and the entire Tano North Municipality cleaner, healthier, and more attractive.
